There I was, cruising up the Hume highway to Sydney after the Aussie 2014 flocking doing 130/140 kph (as you do in a 110 kph limited motorway with an eye out for the usual smattering of radar buddies hidden in the bushes) when I spot the profile of a marked police car in front of me. Naturally I slow down and start sticking to the limit following him. He's cruising about 110/120 kph and it starts to get frustrating, but, hell, I can hardly overtake can I? So, here I am, a respectable distance behind the copper shadowing him when I notice a bike rapidly approaching me from behind. Probably doing his 130/140 kph thing. As he draws level I give him the slow down, copper ahead signal and he (a Harley rider) pretty much formates on me and we just cruise along for about 10 minutes shadowing said copper. After a while I start to think something is wrong. This copper is just cruising along and he doesn't do the usual u turn to try his luck going the other way when he fails to get any 'trade' travelling in our direction. I cruise up a bit closer than we have been and notice that the writing on the back of the car doesn't quite look like 'police'. In fact, the closer I get the more it looks like 'ambulance'. With a mix of emotions; annoyance and embarrassment I lead my Harley 'friend' past said ambulance sedan (yes, sedan) and then ease into the left lane doing about 130kph. My Harley 'companion' duly cruises past and gives me the finger. God, I felt such a dick........

What exactly is the "slow down copper ahead" signal? I must know this...

Slow down cop ahead signal is tapping the top of your helmet with your left hand.

Tapping the top of your head means "Come Here",

whereas thumb down then pointing means "Undesirable in that direction",

and open palm down & slowly moved side to side is "Slow Down"!

I always thought the copper warning was a finger raised and twirled quickly like a "flashing light"

Or there is of course many versions

OK I might be a complete computer retard and stuck in the 1980's but WTF does "BUMP" mean??? I've noticed several "Bumps" lately on different posts. The only bumps I know are the ones with nipples on my wife

Some Fucken wanker Troll had covered our site in that "Fake Pass Post Crap" and the boys are just "Bumping" the original thread on that particular item to bring it back to the front. it looks like Bedouin might have it sorted.

You can do it on any thread if you want it back to be noticed. ie. The Classified Sale Items

I'm guessing you got your answer somewhere in the 2.5 years since you asked but in case you didn't, it's an acronym from the early days of the Internet.

(B)ring (U)p (M)y (P)ost

Used to bring a thread (topic) to the top of the list without having to add anything to the conversation.

Bump

All that is solid melts into air, all that is holy is profaned, and man is at last compelled to face with sober senses, his real conditions of life, and his relations with his kind.
